Candle Jar Boxes

A candle jar box is packaging built around the dimensions of a specific candle jar, with a die-cut insert that cradles the vessel so it does not shift in transit. Glass and ceramic candle vessels are heavier and more fragile than the products most generic packaging is designed for, and a box that is even an eighth of an inch off in any dimension creates either a tight fit that will not close cleanly or a loose fit that lets the jar move. We size each box to the actual vessel, with standard interior clearances of 1/8 to 1/4 inch on diameter and 3/16 to 3/8 inch on height. Reference dimensions for the most common formats: 3 x 3 x 2.75 in interior for 4oz round jars, 3.875 x 3.875 x 4.375 in for 8oz single-wick jars, 4.25 x 4.25 x 4.75 in for 10oz, 4.5 x 4.5 x 5.125 in for 12oz, and 5 x 5 x 5.75 in for 16oz three-wick vessels.

Insert options include corrugated cardboard for maximum shipping protection, foam for luxury presentation, and kraft inserts for eco-friendly brands. Window cutouts in any shape let customers see the vessel and label without opening the box, which performs particularly well in retail environments where the jar design is a brand asset. Tin candles use a slightly different sizing approach because the lid sets the full diameter, so 4oz, 8oz, and 16oz round tins each have their own standard interior box dimensions.
