Using This Website
Accessing or using this website means you accept these terms as written. We reserve the right to revise them at any time. Changes take effect as soon as they are posted, so we recommend checking this page periodically. If something material changes, we will update the date at the top.
Production Files and Materials
All tooling, dies, plates, and production files developed to fulfill your order are the property of Personalized Candle Box and remain so after delivery. We do not sell or transfer these to any outside party.
We may photograph finished products and use those images on our website or in marketing materials to showcase our work. If you would prefer this not happen, let us know before your order ships and we will accommodate the request. Any formal non-disclosure arrangement must be agreed upon in writing before production begins, at which point we will adhere fully to its terms.
Website Content
All content on this site, including text, images, graphics, design elements, and software, belongs to Personalized Candle Box or is used under license from its respective owners. Nothing on this site may be copied, reproduced, republished, or redistributed for any purpose without our prior written permission.
Your Responsibilities
When you use our website or place an order, you take on certain responsibilities. Specifically, you confirm that:
- All artwork, logos, and brand assets you submit are either owned by you or used with proper authorization from the rights holder
- None of the materials you submit are unlawful, infringe on third-party rights, or contain content we would reasonably object to producing
- You have the legal authority to enter into a business agreement and commission the products ordered
- You are providing accurate information throughout the quoting and ordering process
- You are not accessing or using this site through automated means, bots, or scripts
We may refuse or cancel any order if we believe the submitted content violates these requirements, and we reserve the right to cooperate with legal authorities should we receive a valid request relating to materials you have submitted.
How Orders Work
Every order begins with a quote. All pricing is provided in writing before any commitment is made. We do not begin production until a proof has been reviewed and approved by you, and full payment has been received. Once those two conditions are met, your job enters the production queue.
Approving a proof is a significant step. It signals that you are satisfied with the layout, content, and specifications and that we have permission to manufacture. After that point, no changes to the artwork, dimensions, materials, or timeline can be accepted.
If you need to cancel after approving a proof, you have a 4-hour window to do so without penalty, unless your order includes expedited production. After that window, cancellation may still be possible depending on how far production has progressed, but a fee will apply. After 24 hours from proof approval, we cannot guarantee a cancellation will be possible.
Artwork and File Submissions
Print-ready files should be submitted at a minimum of 300 DPI in CMYK color mode. Files that fall below these standards may produce results that differ from what you expect, and we cannot be held responsible for quality issues that stem from the files provided.
You are responsible for making sure your submitted files are correctly oriented, properly aligned, and free of errors before upload. Submitting artwork to us is confirmation that you have the rights to use everything included in it.
Proofs and Print Color
We send a digital proof for your review before going to press. This is your opportunity to check everything carefully, including copy, layout, spacing, image placement, and dimensions. Turnaround time starts from the moment you approve. We are not responsible for delays caused by a proof sitting unapproved on your end.
Digital proofs have limitations. They may not accurately reflect how transparency, overprints, or CMYK color conversions will appear in print. Finishes like lamination or UV coating can also shift how colors look on the final product. We do our best to match the approved files, but print manufacturing does not allow for a perfect color guarantee. Reprints are not issued for color variation that falls within normal production tolerance.
If your project demands tight color control, we recommend requesting a physical press proof before committing to a full run. This is available for an additional fee.
Errors in Approved Artwork
Once you approve a proof, you take full responsibility for the content it contains. We are not liable for issues in the finished product that were present and approvable in the proof, including:
- Spelling or grammatical errors
- Font rendering issues caused by missing or corrupted font files
- Incorrect bleed, crop marks, or die line placement in submitted artwork
- Overprint or transparency conflicts present in the source files
- Fold behavior affected by design elements placed too close to score lines
Quantity Tolerances
Custom manufacturing involves variables that can result in slight quantity differences from what was ordered. We follow standard trade practice and consider a delivery within plus or minus 5% of the agreed quantity to be fulfilled. If the delivered quantity falls meaningfully short, we will credit the difference toward your next order. Any surplus delivered beyond the ordered quantity is provided at no additional charge.
Production Timelines and Shipping
The clock on your production timeline starts after proof approval and payment confirmation. Our standard production window is 10 to 15 business days, though this can vary based on the specifics of your order. Rush timelines are available and are confirmed at the quoting stage.
All orders ship free within the United States. Once your order leaves our facility, it is in the hands of the carrier. We are not responsible for transit delays, lost packages, or damage that occurs after handoff. If something happens during shipping, contact us promptly and we will help you navigate the claims process. Delivery to an incorrect address due to customer-provided information will incur a re-shipment fee.
If a delay occurs on our end due to equipment or production issues, any expedited fees paid will be refunded. However, production delays do not entitle a customer to cancel an order already in progress.
Defective Orders
If your order arrives with a genuine manufacturing defect, contact us within 5 business days of delivery with your order details and clear photo or video evidence. Each situation is reviewed on its own merits. Where we determine a fault on our end, we will work with you to make it right, whether through a reprint, credit, or another agreed solution. In some cases we may need the original product returned before proceeding. For full details, see our Return Policy.
Our Liability to You
If something goes wrong and we are at fault, our responsibility is limited to the value of the specific order involved. We are not liable for business losses, lost profits, or downstream consequences that result from an issue with an order. You also agree to hold us harmless from any third-party claims that arise from intellectual property included in the artwork or files you submitted.
